You All Are Such A Blessing
Just wanted to thank you all for your prayers during this past week. It has by far been the hardest week of my life but i can say "God is so Good" and mean every word of it. God blessed my brother Jacob with such a peace and comfort the night before he passed. He had been sleeping with my Mom since he had the defibulator put in because we feel he was scared it was going to go off, though he would never admit it. Though the night of his passing he said he felt so good and he had lost all fear of everything. He went in his own room and shut the door (which he rarly did because he hated to be alone) and he stayed up till 2 am playing games and doing what he wanted. Of course my Dad finally told him he needed to get some sleep and so he drifted off. His breathing had been heavy for the past few weeks but both my parents checked his breathing at 4 am and said he was breathing so easy and sleeping so peaceful. God took all fear and for that i am forever grateful. We feel Jacob went to sleep knowing he was so loved and when he woke up he was in our Heavenly Father's Arms. I am so thankful for so many things. This past March i got to through Jacob a surprise Birthday party and foe the past few weeks go to his doctor visits with him and the morning he passed i got to be at the emergency room when he got there. Which was hard but i got to pray over him and stay with him and to some degree protect him(make sure everyone showed him respect and left him alone), which i loved to do. I was also able to write his obituary, fix all the pictures and speak at his funeral. He meant so much to me and i wanted to make sure everything was done right. My parents are thankful to God for blessing them so richly though they are going through alot of struggles right now. Please pray for them. My Dad is very strong though he is hurting but my Mom feels her purpose is gone. She stayed with Jacob 24/7 because she had to make sure he took his meds and didn't do this or that and now she is lost. I pray that God will grant them peace and comfort that only he can do. Thank you also for the beautiful surprise i recieved in the mail today. My heart just melted when i opened the box and saw the tree. I planted it this evening in front of our house so that when it gets big it will tower over me like Jacob did(he was almost 6 feet tall) and i will feel as though he is always looking over our family. I wish you all could have known him for he was such a high enery young man with a awesome personality. He always found the humor in everything. When he had his first heart attack he feel and had to get stitches put in his chin, He then looked over at my Mom and said "Hmm, It kinda looks like i have a goutee" and he loved that. When he played basketball with a local church and the other team had the ball he would yell "Don't be a hero, throw me the ball". Of course he won a trophy for being the funniest. He will be forever missed but i will see him again. Thanks again for everything and know i thankful i am for all of you. Love You Lots! Dawn
